Mr. Khan was serving as Patrol Inspector, Pallabi on February 12th, 2004 he was assigned with law and order duty at his area of responsibility. At about 11.10 am opposition parties called for general strike. When illegal crowd engaged clash with police Mr. Khan suddenly felt sick and laid on the road. He was immediately shifted to National Heart Foundation Mirpur, Dhaka where on duty doctor declared him as dead.
