Two-stroke three wheelers commonly known as Baby Taxi, was a major reason of air pollution, the quality of air of Dhaka City started worsening day by day. By goverment Order two stroke three wheelers were banned since January 2003 & Traffic division enforced this govt. order to improve the air pollution.

Improvements of intersections of road:
Under DUTP phase-1 development of 59 intersections brought disciplining for traffic management. It is more efficient & effective to keep traffic discipline on road due the development of that intersection.

Auto Signals:
69 auto traffic signals have been brought under standardized timing. This helps road users to earn respect for signals, through establishing traffic obedience culture. Here it should be noted that auto signal works on the basis of set system i.e. per lane per hour standard number of vehicles should be not more than 1000. If it crosses the limit, then auto signal will not be efficient.

Traffic Radio Channel:
Traffic Radio Channel aired of one year ago & now broadcasting programs on different traffic issue helping road users to learn about traffic rules etc.

Removal of Rickshaw:
Removal of rickshaws from some important roads will helped get Non Motorized Transport (NMT) free road for road users
Average speed for vehicles playing on different roads in Dhaka City was not very, Good but after taking few steps & implementing their seriously (i.e. ban on two stroke-three wheelers, ban on old vehicles, construction of flyovers, development on intersections, installations of auto signals footpath/underpass/overpass etc.), the average speed other vehicles has increased considerably..
Traffic personnels have given training on traffic management.
Non Motorized Transport (NMT) free corridors are helping people to have less travel time to reach the destination.
Traffic is very keen to reduce the traffic accidents & working for achieving that goal.
Traffic is also working heard to have a congestion free road daily in the city to live & work.
